Error:
Cannot open the disk '/xxx/xxx/Virtual Machine/Virtual Machine.vmdk'
or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.
Reason: Failed to lock the file.

วิธีแก้ไข

ลบ directory ที่ชื่อว่า Virtual Machine.vmdk.lck ออกเสีย แล้ว start
ถ้าไม่แน่ใจให้ move ไปไว้ในชื่ออื่นหรือทำ back up ไดเรคทรอรี่นี้เสียก่อนก็ได้

ทำยังไงดี… แต่หลังจากหามานานจึงไปพบกับวิธีลง VMware ใน Ubuntu เข้า

ถ้า vmware ถามข้อมูลดังกล่าว
Be sure to add your normal username as VMware Server administrator
แต่เวลาติดตั้งเราใส่เป็น root ตาม default ที่มันใส่มาให้เรา

วิธีการแก้จาก root ไปเป็น user ขอเราเอง 

sudo vim /etc/vmware/hostd/authorization.xmle

แล้วไปแก้ตรง บรรทัด 

<ACEDataUser>root</ACEDataUser>

เปลี่ยนเป็น user ของเราซะ
